Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid), relocation assistance is provided to eligible interns
The PS Core Experience group is responsible for creating core, user-facing and backend system software across consoles, mobile, and other initiatives which are critical to the successful future of the PlayStation platform. This includes core functionality on the PS5 console such as the system UI, notifications, feature discovery, and PlayStationโs virtual assistant. We strive to create the most polished experience for our players that allows them to find, interact with, and play the games and content they want.
Working in the HomeUI product team means building experiences that directly impact millions of players and creating the foundation that other teams across the company build their experiences on as well. Our team works closely with internal collaborators and development partners to define and implement the strategic roadmap, and build exemplary product experiences end to end.
Responsibilities
- Support User Experience for core features, products and services for PlayStation, by developing requirements working with stakeholders across the global business
- Maintain and communicate the roadmap for your features and product
- Prioritize features based on product strategy and global business objectives
- Ensure features are backed by important metrics and that success is measured on a regular basis
- Act as Voice of Customer (VoC) to create the strategic vision for platform features
- Understand and communicate how your product is used in market, based on customer feedback, research and data, feeding back into future requirements and product roadmap
- Understand and communicate the competitive landscape as it affects PlayStation
- Articulate business and consumer rationale to the teams
Qualifications
- Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited university
- Passion for great product experiences and the drive to make them a reality
- Interest in learning about what drives the gaming industry
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to present ideas to large audiences
- Be self-motivated and results oriented
- Available to intern between May-August OR June - September
- This intern would work 3 days each week from our San Francisco, CA office. Relocation assistance is provided for eligible interns.
Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.
