Job Description
As a UI/UX Designer for Nacelle's professional services team, you'll be key to the visual execution of our merchant's websites and you'll help make design a pillar of Nacelle's service offerings. You'll work hand-in-hand with internal and external stakeholders while also providing mentorship to our up-and-coming team. In this role you will:
- Ideation and Conceptualization: The Freelancer shall provide ideation and conceptualization services to the Client, which includes researching, ideating, and conceptualizing product design ideas.
- Sketches and Mockups: The Freelancer will use, update, and extend the existing design system created by the Client. The Freelancer shall provide sketches and mockups of the product design ideas to the Client, which includes creating hand-drawn sketches and digital mockups.
- Prototyping: The Freelancer shall provide prototyping services to the Client, which includes creating digital prototypes of the product design ideas including but not
- Design Iterations: The Freelancer shall provide design iteration services to the Client, which includes reviewing feedback from the Client and making necessary changes to the product design.
- Final Deliverables: The Freelancer shall provide final deliverables to the Client, which includes contributing completed product designs, including sketches, mockups, and final design files through Figma.
We would love to hear from you if:
- 4+ years of UI, Product Design, or Web Design work
- 2+ years of experience in a lean or agile environment, and the ability to articulate the pros/cons you've experienced and how you've made design work in this environment
- Experience designing UI and creating prototypes in tools like Figma
- Highly organized and possesses a strong attention to detail
Weโd be really excited if youโve had:
- Prior ecommerce design experience
- Front-end code experience. We're a highly technical startup focused on the developer experience. Basic experience with CSS and JS are helpful, though not required
- Experience working at a fast growing VC-funded startup. Understanding the speed at which things move and change is helpful in navigating the industry and startup culture
- Experience leading workshops and communicating on a regular basis with stakeholders. A core part of the job is facilitating collaboration and getting buy-in on new ideas
