As a member of our AI team, you will be immersed in the exciting world of Bubble, working on the full stack of the Bubble language, integrations, and data tools, all within our sleek, modern editor. Our primary goal is to empower users by integrating AI into their app-building process, enabling them to craft beautiful, powerful web applications just by prompting.
This year, we are working on the ability to have AI-generated visual designs and layouts for pages and components, saving hours and hours of developer time. Follow-on launches will add data, expressions, and workflowsโyour initial build will take 10 minutes..
The role:
As a key member of our AI team, your primary focus will revolve around enhancing the user experience within our editor by integrating user-facing AI features. This means working closely on the UI/UX aspects to create a fluid and intuitive interface that empowers users to harness the full potential of AI in their app-building process.
You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between AI models and their practical implementation within our product. While this position doesn't involve research and training of AI models, it is all about effectively incorporating those cutting-edge capabilities into our platform, enabling our users to leverage the latest AI advancements effortlessly.
In this role, you'll closely partner with our research arm, ensuring that your work aligns with the team's vision for productionalizing AI features. Your insights and contributions will shape the future of how AI seamlessly integrates into the Bubble ecosystem.
About you:
To thrive in this role and make a significant impact, we are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Seasoned Software Engineer : You possess 5+ years of experience in software engineering, ideally with a track record of excelling in startup environments.
- Frontend Coding Guru : Strong frontend coding skills are a must, ideally with a proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, with an awareness or experience in Solid.JS (or React)
- Full-Stack Savvy : You bring comprehensive knowledge of the full stack, from distributed backend systems (NodeJS on AWS) to SQL databases.
- Project Leadership : You have a proven ability to lead projects from inception to successful shipping; breaking down complex challenges into manageable tasks to enable agile development and timely delivery.
- Passion for AI : A passion for learning and integrating AI into established products.
- Mentoring and Collaborative Spirit : You possess both the ability and interest to mentor and learn from other talented Bubble engineers.

We offer competitive compensation aligned to tier one markets, such as New York City, San Francisco, and Seattle. Our estimated salary for this role at Bubble ranges from $157,000 to $213,000. Actual pay is determined by multiple factors such as skills, qualifications, experience and market demand.
In addition, all Bubble employees are eligible for meaningful equity packages.
